Roles and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

As the Level 2/3 Infrastructure Support, you will be responsible for delivering fast and quality support to all end-user. You will be supporting Windows and Mac workstations, Linux, Windows server and Cloud environment.

  • Azure Cloud service
  • Office 365 (Exchange online, SharePoint online, Lync)
  • MS Windows 2008/2012, Mac and Linux environments and servers
  • Active Directory and Group policy Management
  • Firewalls, Proxy, content filtering, Symantec, McAfee, , WSUS, IIS, MS SQL, MYSQL
  • Cisco routers and switches, network patching and basic understand of networking.
  • Backup software (Backup Exec, ShadowProtect)
  • Virtualisation - HyperV or VMware
  • Basic understanding of PBX and voice support

Key skills, Attributes and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years technical services experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or relevant discipline
  • Solid problem solving skill with an acute attention to detail
  • Self-starter, able to undertake independent learning to maintain and improve skill set
  • Self-motivated to bring issue to closure and deal with all levels of users
  • Able to work flexible hours – occasional after hour's work and participation in on-call roster

Asia Pacific Stock Exchange (APX) is a securities exchange in Australia with a market licence granted by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC). APX provides opportunities for companies within the Asia-Pacific region to raise the capital they need for expansion from a diversified range of domestic and international investors.

APX offers Chinese market participants an alternative listing venue to the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges in China.

As a securities exchange, APX provides listing facilities to companies and securities issuers as well as trading facilities for stock brokers, traders and investors to buy and sell shares/securities. The securities that can be traded on APX include: shares issued by companies, units issued by trusts and other pooled investment products as well as fixed interest instruments, such as bonds.

The new APX Chief Executive Officer will establish and execute plans to achieve the strategic objectives of APX including competitiveness, operating efficiency, diversification and growth. The APX Chief Executive Officer will provide insight and direction to increase the liquidity and depth of APX's capital market.

Key Deliverables

Management
  • Accountable for managing and monitoring the profit and loss position of the business.
  • Seeking new, increasing and diversifying revenue streams and managing costs to improve financial sustainability.
  • Providing leadership, direction, professional development and performance management to APX staff to ensure they are actively working towards the delivery of the strategic objectives
  • Establish & manage Business Development team and Relationship Management team targets and budgets

Marketing and Public Relations
  • Developing and implementing targeted marketing strategies

Supervision Officer - Asia Pacific Stock Exchange (APX)

Asia Pacific Stock Exchange is seeking a quality Supervision Officer in its Sydney office.

The Exchange is an innovative securities exchange providing opportunities for growth oriented companies to raise the capital they need for expansion from a diversified range of domestic and international investors, especially from the Asia-Pacific region. APX is strategically positioned to bridge the Asian and Australian Capital Markets with a trading platform to attract Asian and Australian investors.

The primary role of the position is the day-to-day supervision and relationship management of Listees, Market Participants and Sponsors in the APX market. In summary, the role of the Supervision Officer, as part of a small team, is to;

  • Advise Listees, Market Participants and Sponsors on the interpretation of the APX Listing Rules and APX Business Rules (the "APX Operating Rules")
  • Assist with the process of admitting Listee's, Market Participants and Sponsors.
  • Assist with the supervision, monitoring and enforcement of compliance pursuant to the APX Operating Rules.
  • Assist with the APX market surveillance function.
  • Assist with drafting of Operating Rules amendments and Guidance Notes
  • Operate as a key member of the APX team.

Key Functions and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Advise Listees, Market Participants and Sponsors on the interpretation of the APX Listing Rules and APX Business Rules (the "APX Operating Rules")
  • Educate Listees (especially Chinese based listees) on APX listing requirements.
  • Process new Listee, Market Participant and Sponsor Applications,
  • Liaison with applicants and making recommendations to the APX Admissions Committee.
  • Process waiver applications and provide advice in relation to simple to moderate Listee, Market Participant and Sponsor matters (including corporate actions).
  • Day to day market surveillance and assist with ensuring surveillance operates effectively within the wider APX Supervision function. This includes
    • monitoring media reports relating to APX Listees, Market Participants and Sponsors, and taking appropriate action to ensure a fair, orderly and transparent market.
    • prompt reviewing of Listee announcements  and ensuring that sufficient information is provided to facilitate a fair, orderly and transparent market;
    • market surveillance monitoring and improvement.
  • Assist with the preparation of APX supervision policies and assist with operating rule amendments and liaison with ASIC and legal advisers on such amendments
  • Assist with monitoring/supervision of Participant, Sponsor and Listee compliance with Operating Rules.
  • Contribute to initiatives for maintaining/improving appropriate and relevant systems, procedures and databases
  • Keep abreast of relevant market developments, both locally and overseas

Desirable skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, accounting, finance or business
  • Three to five years industry experience, preferably in both Asia and Australia
  • Markets, financial services and/or listed company experience
  • Strong commercial and logical thinking skills in the application of rules
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin required
