05.28.2004
Paul Reiffel, former Australian Test Cricketer and Victorian Cricket Captain stole the show at the opening of local community financial services centre, AIMS Home Loans in Ashwood on Friday May 28th.

The community financial services centre in Ashwood will support the local community as part of its ongoing business plan and is looking for sponsorship partnerships with local press and sporting clubs. AIMS not only promotes supporting the community, but acknowledges it as their responsibility to do so in order to become a successful business. "Local businesses and community groups should support each other in order to achieve their common goals," says James Green, Head of Agency Network at AIMS.

The launch event, part of a national roll-out plan was hosted by owners Fleur and Graeme Ellis who reside in Ashwood with their children. The formalities included speeches by the Head of the AIMS Agency Network, James Green as well as joint Principal, Graeme Ellis and Paul Reiffel himself who was the Guest of Honour. Reiffel entertained guests with his account of his first Australian Test Cricket match: his goal in starting out was to simply hit the ball when he realised who he faced - Kapil Dev, the world///s best bowler at the time.

Anna Burke MP, Member for Chisholm, sports club representatives, personal friends and local business owners all came together to celebrate the opening of the new AIMS Agency located at 495 Warrigal Road, Ashwood, Victoria.

Community-focused, AIMS Home Loans in Ashwood will service areas around Ashburton, Ashwood, Waverley, Glen Waverley, Chadstone and Mount Waverley. The new branch opens for business today.

Paul Reiffel has returned to the area where his cricket career all began to support AIMS Home Loans in Ashwood. To arrange an interview with Paul Reiffel or an AIMS spokesperson on the topic of community finance, please contact me on 0414 940 311.
