The management and staff of AIMS Financial Group celebrated Christmas 2005 with a Cruise Party on 13 December 2005, with the spirit of giving to the needy amidst the celebrations kept alive throughout the evening.
In between the formalities, dinner, dancing and games, AIMS staff held a benefit raffle which raised a total of $960.00 for World Vision, an international charity that supports underprivileged children in the poorest countries worldwide.
In 2005, AIMS started an association with World Vision, adding it to the list of children’s charities that the company has been supporting on a regular basis. AIMS is currently supporting 15 poor kids from Asia, Africa and South America.
David Towill, World Vision Corporate and Donor Relations Manager, recently accepted the cheque for $960.00 at the AIMS Head Office in Sydney from Greg Stevens, AIMS National Service and Delivery Manager and Greg Gillis, AIMS Compliance and Project Manager.
George Wang, AIMS Executive Director, says: “The AIMS Group is pleased to make a further contribution to World Vision during the holiday season. Our cash donation, collected from management and staff during our Christmas Cruise Party, in addition to the regular financial contribution that the AIMS Group has been extending to 15 World Vision kids, will ensure more underprivileged children are assisted and provided with better living conditions.”
The Christmas 2005 season proved to be a busy one for AIMS, as the company also major sponsored the Special Children’s Christmas Party 2005 which benefited 45,000 special kids and children in disadvantaged conditions across Sydney and country NSW. AIMS not only contributed financially to the event but also sent its staff as volunteers during the gift giving program.
